A couple of weekends ago my sister's family, my brother's family and us decided to go and pick apples up at Oak Glen which is in the mountains about an hour from us. Dan ended up having to work that Saturday so my mom offered to keep Megan which was a big help. We all had such a great time and the day we went it had been raining in the morning so everything was clean and beautiful. We bought a box which holds half a bushel and shared it between the three families. Picking apples will definitely be a new tradition for us but next year we will make sure Dan has the day off.
Jessica found these apple crates and thought we could use them to stand on to help the kids pick the apples. The kids loved it cause they could reach the higher ones by themselves.

Just passed the apple orchard there was a walking trail so we decided to go and explore a little. It was so fun because the leaves were changing colors and falling and it really felt like fall. We don't really get to see that where we live.

After picking apples we decided to pick up lunch from a little BBQ place and have a picnic. Well it started getting windy so the picnic wasn't a great idea but the kids didn't mind. Ryan found this chair at the shop and just loved it.
