Football

Christian has now played two games and is loving Football. Last weekend he was in almost the whole game and played on Defense, Offense and Special Teams. He is doing really well and really starting to understand what it takes to be good. On Saturday he got 3 first downs which means he ran for more than 10 yards it was really exciting. He got to pick his jersey number and he chose #10 which was Daniel's soccer # all growing up. Daniel and I just love being out there watching him and are so proud of everything he has done so far. His team unfortunately has not won a game yet but we are still holding out hope. GO OUTLAWS!
Warm Ups are serious businessHe is running with the ball and look at him lowering his shoulder to pick up the extra yards!

My 30th

For my Birthday I decided that I wanted to go to Disneyland since you get in free on your Birthday. It was so much fun the kids were so great so we ended up spending all day there. Ryan, Megan and I were joined in the morning by Rachel and Sophie and then Angie, Lily, Susan and Emma spent the afternoon and evening with us. I was really nervous about handling both kids but Ryan behaved so well and since we had friends there to help out I was really able to enjoy the whole day so we ended up getting an Annual Pass. I just love Disneyland it was so nice to go again. Ryan loved seeing all the characters and most of the rides we did. He was kind of scared of Dumbo but then he loved the Rockets so we will definitely try Dumbo again next time. We missed Daniel and Christian but we are going to try and go for Daniel's birthday since he will get in for free so they can enjoy Disneyland with us. It was a great way to spend my 30th!

Even though I applied sunscreen twice during the day, Megan still got a sunburn on her cheeks. I felt so bad!

4 Months

Megan had her 4 month check up and she is doing really great. She is 12 pounds 10 ounces and 23.5 inches in height so she is in the 25Th percentile for both. She is really strong and is trying to sit up by herself. She can roll over but doesn't like doing it and cries when it happens. We love to hear her laugh and her favorite thing to do right now is dance with her Daddy. She just lights up and smiles so big every time he dances with her it is the cutest thing. While we were in Utah last weekend she got a hair cut. She has lost most of the hair on the back of her head and the hair on the side and top of her head were so long it made her look like bozo the clown.
Our little Irish Girl!
While she was getting her hair cut she kept making this really sad face like she was upset about getting her hair cut it was so funny.

Girls Weekend

About a month ago we got a Wedding invitation for a friend of mine. She was getting married in Utah this passed weekend and my Mom kind of jokingly said " Do you want to go?" I said "Yes" and she said OK so we decided to make it a girls weekend getaway. My Sister, My Mom, Megan and I all left Friday and came back Sunday. It was a totally quick trip but so worth it. My friend Emily was so shocked that we were there. Megan did amazing in the car and only cried a couple of times. While we were there we also got to see my cousins and my great Aunt who is 94. I also was able to see Kristie my best friend and her family. Kristie and her husband Wyman are the ones that introduced me to Daniel. We went to Cheesecake Factory and did some shopping. We were totally on the go the whole weekend and I am so exhausted but it was such a great break!

Megan pretty much looked like this the whole way unless she was sleeping. She is so cute and getting so big I just love it!
The reason for the whole trip. I was so excited to be there, I have known Emily my whole life. Congratulations Ryan and Emily!4 Generations, This is my Grandma's Sister and since I never had the opportunity to meet my Grandma I love talking with her sisters and hearing all the fun they had growing up.My Great Aunt and her husband were so cute with Megan. My Best Friend Kristie, I love her like a sister and it had been over two years since I saw her, we have both had two children since we last saw each other but it is so fun to pick up right where we left off. I just wish I could have spent more than a couple of hours with her but I will take what I can get! Here are three of the Patten kids unfortunately Collin was napping when I finally got the camera out and also I don't have any pictures with My cousins Lorie, Vickie or Jessica I totally forgot to pull out the camera I don't know what I was thinking :)Thanks Mom and Leah for an amazing unforgettable weekend and thank you Daniel for watching the kids so I could go and totally enjoy myself! We were so lucky that the traffic was great coming home and we made great time and best of all we got to see this amazing sunset!

Ryan the choo choo

Lately, Ryan has been playing Train a lot. We play it in the yard, in the pool but my favorite was when he played it with Megan yesterday. It was so cute I wish I had gotten a video of it. He was pushing the bumbo along and saying choo choo. Megan and him were laughing so hard and having such a great time.

Labor Day Fun

We had a really great weekend playing with friends and family. Our weekend was so full of fun things I don't know how we fit it all in, we played games, swam, went out to dinner, and did a lot of shopping. On Monday Chick Fil A had another give away so of course we were there. Well this time if you wore your favorite team logo you got a free sandwich, unfortunately Dan had to work but we made him proud with all our Patriot stuff. It was so much fun and only had one guy give us a bad time about the Pats. We are totally ready for Football to start! GO PATS!!!!Even Megan wore her Patriot Outfit!
