Park

Last night we decided that we needed to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather so we took the boys down to the park. We had a really great time just playing around together.

The Boys

Wednesday night we had the Cub Scout pack meeting where Christian was awarded his bobcat award. He was very excited and he also got to participate in the flag ceremony. The theme this month was Amazing games so Dan set up this really cool maze for the boys to do while blindfolded. They all had a great time and it was a really fun night.This is Christian with his Mom and Dan getting the Bobcat pinned. I have no idea why they have to be put upside down but that is what they do.

These last two pictures were from last night, Dan took Ryan up for a bath and he was so excited he didn't wait for Dan to take his clothes off, he just got in. It was really cute!

Happy Birthday

Today is my Mom's Birthday. We got together on Saturday at our house for a nice dinner and games to celebrate. I just wanted to write down three reasons I love my Mom. First, she will do anything for her family and she gives us everything we could ever want. Second, she is the hardest working person I know. Third, she never complains. I wish I was more like her and could do the things she does. My greatest memory of my Mom is when we use to lay in bed talking. When I would get home from a date or being out she would always invite me to sit on her bed and tell her everything no matter how late it was and if I was to tired to tell her she would come into my room the next morning to get the whole story. Love you Mom I hope you have a wonderful day.

The weather has been so nice here lately that we have been spending a lot of time outside. Who knew that throwing a blanket on the grass outside could be so fun. The kids played on the blanket for about an hour and I got to read a book. It was a perfect afternoon!

Changes

The boys and I decided it was time for some changes so we all got our haircut. I went short, easy and convient for all us. I love it!

Cub Scouts

Christian started Cub Scouts this past week and had such a great time. He has great leaders and I think it will be a really good experience for him. Plus we think he looks really cute in his uniform!

OREO

So Dan decided that it was time for Ryan to have the Oreo experience and if you can tell by the pictures he loved it.

Big Boy Bed

I was talking to Daniel about all the things we need to do before the baby comes and one of the things was to pull out Christian's old Fire truck bed and transition Ryan into it. Now when I told him this I was thinking we should do it late March early April to give him a month or so to get use to it before the baby comes. But of course once something is said Daniel wants to do it immediately, so on January 1st Ryan's bed was set up and ready. The transition has been amazing. He goes right to bed and when he wakes up he walks to the door and knocks and yells till someone opens it. There was only one day that he didn't want to nap and that was because I was trying to get him to take two naps since we were going to be out late one night. I have been really surprised at how easy he has been transitioning from a baby to a big boy. I was really surprised that I didn't get more emotional over it but I think maybe it is because I have another baby on the way, what do you think?

And since I was taking pictures of Ryan in bed Christian wanted his picture taken as well.

Happy New Year

For New Year's Eve we decided to have a family party for Christian's birthday. He got more really great gifts. We moved all the clocks ahead so the kids thought it was midnight at 10 so that we could count down a little early. We all had a great time.

The kids entertained us with some wonderful piano playing. I can't believe it is 2009 already!
