Baseball

Last weekend we spent an afternoon at the batting cages. It was so much fun. Christian had never been so we started with the softball slow pitch and he was able to hit almost all the balls. Of course Ryan wanted a turn as well and with Dan's help he hit a couple balls. On Friday we also went to the Angel game. It was the Angels against the Dodgers which is one of our favorite series of the season. We sit in the cheap family section so we can witness all the crazy people and there are always fights that break out. This time we saw three, I swear people don't think when they are drunk. It was Megan's first Angel game and she did great, she sleep almost the entire game even with all the screaming. It was a great game and the Angels won which made it even better.Ryan's favorite part of the game was all the food. He loved this pretzel and I just thought it was so funny how huge it looks up against his mouth.

Order

Ryan loves the movie Cars, well obsessed is more like it. He seriously wants to watch it constantly and he knows most of the lines of the movie and all the characters. Christian has been collecting the cars for a while, Dan's Mom would send Christian them for different occasions and now that Ryan loves the movie he has gotten a couple also. Well I am pretty sure I have mentioned before that Dan likes everything to have an order. He makes the boys place all their toys in the correct bins and loves to sort everything out. He is not happy if anything is out of place no matter what it is. So it was no big surprise when I walked into Ryan's room yesterday and found him doing the same thing. He had all the cars lined up and matched according to character, it was really cute but it is scary how much he is just like his Father!

Pinewood Derby

We had such a great time at the Pinewood Derby last night. Christian had a great time deciding what to design his car as and then he and Dan did a great job building it. And anyone that knows Christian would not have had a hard time picking his out among all the cars, he designed an Army tank (big surprise). It was so fun to see Christian having such a great time. He raced in four different heats and he placed third twice and second twice. He was so proud of his car and I think they did a great job seeing how Dan had never built one before. Christian's car won an award for the toughest car, he kept telling everyone that if their car beat his he would just shoot them down so he could win, it was really cute. He also earned the next rank in Cub Scouts so he is now a Wolf. It was so much fun!Ryan and Megan also had a great time. Ryan sat really well and loved seeing all the cars race by, but his favorite part of the evening was the dessert.

Friday Night Fun

We had such a great night on Friday just some fun family time. Christian's school was having a Parent's and Teacher's against the kid's kick ball game. We took sack dinners and had a little picnic before the boys played kickball. It was so fun to watch and Christian loved that the kids won. Dan was the most competitive Parent out there and he loved that he was able to get Christian out a couple of times. He showed no mercy! Then we went home and the boys set up the tent and camped out in the backyard, since they weren't able to go to the Father and Sons outing a couple of weeks ago that our church was having. They had so much fun Ryan hung out with them until about 10 and then came inside to have a good night sleep. The whole evening was just so much fun and what made it even better was it was all free.
Megan and I enjoyed the quiet house for a couple of hours while the boys were outside. And don't you just love her little hoodie!

Field Trip

Yesterday I was able to go on Christian's final field trip for the year. They went to the park around the corner from our house so my sister came and watched Ryan and Megan for me (thanks Leah). I was there for about 2 1/2 hours and we played football, kickball and basketball. When the kids sat down for lunch I made my exit to go and feed Megan. I had so much fun being out and playing with the kids.
And last night I was able to go to Enrichment night, I had a great time hanging out with friends and enjoying some delicious dessert. It was a great day and nice to spend some time away from the kids I definitely needed it. Also, we found a way Ryan can hold Megan we just prop her up in the Boppy and let him hold her and as you can tell he loves it.

A Great Visit

Daniel's Mom came and stayed with us last week and it was so great to have her here. It was so nice to have someone to hold Megan, go shopping with and to help with the boys. I am definitely missing her, it is so hard to try and clean the house or cook dinner while Megan is in my arms and Ryan is attached to my leg. While she was here we went to the park, visited with Family and she got to come to the Cub Scout Pack Meeting. We also went shopping at Babies R Us, Target and Wal-Mart. It was such a nice visit that we didn't want it to end. What surprised me the most was how upset Dan was, he got really depressed on Friday and Saturday at the fact that he doesn't get to see his parent's very often. Luckily, we are close to my family but it is just not the same.
While Dan's Mom was here we went and saw her Uncle and Aunt. We started at a restaurant for dinner and then ended up just going back to their place and hanging out. It was a really nice evening! And I just wanted to add some new pictures of Megan I can't believe she is 4 weeks old today!
