Bowling Party

Yesterday was my niece, Brittany's birthday. She had a little bowling party for her friends and Christian was invited. I love to bowl and in college I took a bowling class and so I own bowling shoes and a bowling ball, but for some reason I haven't gone very much since I have been married so it was really fun getting out there again. We had a really great time and Christian did really well with the bumpers up, he actually tied my score in the first game. Happy Birthday Brittany, we love you!
The boys just looked so cute in the car I had to snap a picture.

At first Christian was using the ball assistance thing but by the middle of the first game he started to throw the ball.
I taught him how to aim for the arrows instead of the pins and he was so proud when he got a spare by himself.

We also had cub scouts this week and Dan had to dress up as an Indian for an Arrow of Light Ceremony, so when we got home of course Christian had to try it on. I think he looks a little scary with the long hair.

Not as Good

Saturday I ran my second 5k and unfortunately I did worse than the first time, but I did have to push a stroller and it was like 90 degrees when we ran, but still no excuses I did worse. I got to run with My Mom, My Sister, my Nieces and Nephews, Ryan and My Brother in Law. I wouldn't say that it was fun but I finished and then we all had a good time sitting and eating lunch together. I run my next one on the 4th of July so I am really trying to push myself this week and next week so that I can do better than the first time. Also, I am going to run in the Disneyland 5k race on Saturday, August 30th so if anyone is interested it would be fun to have a big group to run with. The Disney race is a little expensive but I think it would be fun to run through both parks and get the medal. Anyways, wish me luck in my training for the next two weeks and lets all pray that the weather will be better on the 4th.
My Niece and I before the race.

Here is the stroller I pushed with Ryan and my other Niece.

After the race my Brother in Law put my Nephews into this stroller and pushed them all around they totally loved it.

Last Day of School

Today was Christian's last day of school and they had a minimum day. So I took the day off to be with him. He was so excited and since he was getting out early we had a whole day of fun planned. It started with Donuts before school, since it was his last day I let him pick what he wanted for breakfast and he said donuts so that is what he got. When I picked him up from school he was singing "School's out for summer, School's out forever" It was really cute. Then we went swimming with our friends in the big pool (according to Christian) which was great because I got to go in as well. We were swimming for about two hours, it was great and Ryan is a total fish and cried when it was time to get out. Christian got three awards at school, one for perfect attendance, one for citizenship, and one for excellent math scores. We are so proud at how well he has done in school this year that we took him to John's Incredible Pizza for dinner. He invited his cousins to come and it was so fun. We have never been there before and we absolutely loved it and I don't think we will ever go to Chuck-E-Cheese again. It is like a cross between CEC and a fair and their food is a buffet which was nice because we all were able to get different things. Christian had pizza, Dan and Ryan had pasta and I had a salad, and dessert is included. It was so much fun and a great way to start the summer!

Christian was very excited that school was over!

This is Christian's First Grade teacher Mrs. McCandless, I was worried at the beginning of the year when she told us that she would be retiring at the end of the school year because I thought she would kind of be over teaching but it was the complete opposite. She was incredible and we will definitely miss her.

At John's Incredible Pizza they had a play area for younger kids and Ryan loved being able to run around, but he was not so sure about the slide.

Ryan enjoying his dinner

The kids and Dan loved the rides

I think my favorite part was the bumper cars, they were really cool!

Father's Day Weekend

We had such a nice weekend, on Friday night Dan and I went out to dinner to one of his favorite restaurant's The Olive Garden which we hadn't been to in a while. Then Saturday we were able to sleep in until after 8 which is really a treat since Ryan is usually awake at around 6:45. Then Saturday night Dan and I went to the Angel's game with my Brother and Sister in law, the Angel's lost but it was still nice to get out with out the kids. Lastly on Sunday we had a wonderful Father's Day, we went to church and then hung out at our house. My parent's and my sister's came over and I made dinner which turned out amazing then we watched the Basketball game, and although we wish the Celtics would have ended the series it was still a really great game. It was a really nice restful weekend which was much needed.

The kids had Popsicles on Sunday since it was so hot and Ryan had his very first one, which he completely loved and ate the whole thing.

Rope Burn

On Friday Dan had a work luncheon with his yard(office) and the Pomona yard and he said that they had a tug of war event. So there was about 20 men on each end of the rope and he was the 2nd from the front and they were pulling with all their might when the rope snapped and he got a rope burn. He said that his arm was really hurting and he couldn't really lift anything because every time he moved his bicep it would hurt, I couldn't believe it because he is usually not one to complain, well then he came home and I saw this....

It is so gross and swollen. He has had a hard time sleeping because it is bothering him so much. I haven't found anything to help alleviate the pain.

Bedtime Fun

So the other night Dan was working late and so I had given the boys a bath and then put Ryan in his crib to play while I finished up on a few things before we had prayers and read the scriptures. Well all of a sudden I hear Christian yelling for me to get my camera. So I ran into Ryan's room to see what was going on and this is what I found...Christian had climbed into Ryan's crib to play with him and Ryan kept falling on top of Christian and laughing hysterically.

Since it was a fairly warm night I had Ryan's window open so Christian starting signing out of it like he was in some type of play. It was so funny I couldn't stop laughing but as you can tell from this picture Ryan was not too sure about what Christian was doing :)
I love it that Ryan is finally getting to the point where he and Christian can play together.

Avengers Game

Here are the photos from our trip to the Avengers Game

Dan was so proud to wear his Celtics Jersey to the Staples Center, hopefully it will bring them luck tonight against the Lakers!

They handed these cool hats out at the door, Christian thinks he is so cool! :)

During one of the breaks of the game they do this kissing cam, where on the jumbo-tron(sp??) they show different couples kissing. Christian really wanted to get on camera so he thought he could kiss me to get on. It was so cute!

It was really fun getting to watch them get autographs and play on the field.

Christian with some of the cheerleaders, can you tell he really didn't want to take this picture!

Here the kids our with their towels all signed in the middle of the field.

Ok so I was told to take this picture, these two men wanted to have a photo together. Now if I would have asked Dan to take a picture with me there is no way I would have gotten a smile like this from him.

I love to watch men interact especially Dan and Nick because they just get along, it doesn't matter that they don't like the same music or the same type of clothes, they can laugh at each others differences or faults and just be friends. It is really refreshing to watch because unfortunately women do not always do this.

Sports

This weekend was once again filled with sports. Friday we were very excited to see that the Celtics pulled it out to win the Eastern Conference and will be playing in the NBA Finals. We have made a nice side wager with the Garces Family(who are huge laker fans) for a night out with out kids. It will be dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with appetizers and dessert included for the winning couple. Saturday morning we had the Cub Scout Pine Wood Derby. Dan (being the cub master) was very nervous and worried about how it would turn out, but of course it was great and all the boys had a great time. Then Saturday night we got to go see the Avengers (LA Arena Football team) play. We left Ryan with my mom and went with the Garces family. It was really neat to watch. They play on half a regular football field so it is small and very fast pace. Unfortunately they lost put afterwards Dan, Nick and the kids got to go down on the field and run around an meet the players. Almost all the players came out to sign autographs. They gave away free towels at the game, so the kids had the players sign their towels, it was great. The Avengers play at the Staples Center, where the Lakers also play, so Dan wore his Celtic's Jersey to try and jinx the Lakers. It was really funny because alot of people were commenting on it and one guy even tried to make a $1,000 beat with him. We had so much fun and the best part was that Nick got the tickets for Free from the LAPD so thanks Garces Family for a wonderful night! I got a lot of great pictures of the night but my camera cable brought yesterday when I was trying to download the pictures so for now they are stuck on my camera. I am going to try and get a new one this week so I will update the pictures as soon as I can.
