Within 48 hours we spent the day at the beach and in the snow. On Saturday we went down to the beach to hang out and have a bonfire. The kids rode their bikes and we flew kites. It was probably about 65 degrees and so beautiful. There were a lot of sailboats out in the water. Christian built a sand fort for the army men and Ryan loved the sand. He had no problem falling face first into it and eating plenty as well. However he did not enjoy the snow. This afternoon we picked Christian up after school and headed up the mountain to play in the snow. Ryan thought that the snow was way to cold for him and since he refuses to keep his shoes and socks on he spent most of the afternoon crying and fighting to get them off. The rest of us had a great time playing in the snow. Since it has rained so much here the snow was pretty icy but we still enjoyed it. Christian went sledding, built a snowman and had a great snowball fight with his Dad.

I am so jealous that you were able to spend the day at the beach!!! Fun! We could use a little warm weather here in Utah! We've got the snow covered...no problem there! Just send warm weather! I can't wait for spring!
That is my favorite thing about California! Where did you guys go to play in the snow?
